Gaia Brandt studied Fashion Design with Knitwear at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts in London, and has previously trained as a tailor. In addition to her work in fashion, she has been working with interior design and crafted objects for many years. Gaia also creates land art and nature-inspired pieces that engage directly with the environment. Through her creations, she celebrates the beauty and impermanence of nature, crafting ephemeral works that harmonize with the landscape and invite reflection on our connection to the natural world.
Gaia effortlessly combines old and new: mixed media such as papercuts, old books, cardboard and vintage fabrics are reimagined alongside organic elements among tree logs and sticks, leaves, pinecones, seashells, flowers, stones and other materials found in the forest. Each piece tells a story, evolving from a deep love for craftsmanship, rare inventiveness, and a distinctive, expressive colour palette.
Gaia’s work explores the intersection of fashion and interior design, grounded in the nourishment and inspiration she finds in her walks through nature, where beauty is discovered in overlooked places, and the mundane is transformed into something extraordinary.
